Job summary

OBR Management is seeking a Service Superintendent to oversee cooling tower service, preventive maintenance, and repairs, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time completion. This role requires strong leadership and close coordination with engineering, project management, purchasing, and service management to exceed customer expectations.

Extensive travel is required depending on project location; candidates must hold OSHA 10/30, CPR/First Aid, and a valid driver’s license, with a DISA status

Qualifications

• High school diploma, or equivalent
• At least 1 – 2 years of experience in the field, performing cooling tower services
• Knowledge of Windows based applications
• Knowledge and application of safety standards through OSHA training and experience

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe work practices; stop work if unsafe conditions arise.
• Interface with clients and oversee all aspects of service projects.
• Supervise, mentor, and train field technicians, Foremen, Leadmen, and crews.
• Conduct safety orientations and enforce OSHA/industry standards.
• Manage service materials, equipment rentals, and job supplies.
• Oversee service processes, subcontractor progress, and project schedules.
• Prepare service and time reports; complete job closeout documentation to ensure client satisfaction.
• Monitor budgets, profitability, and adherence to scope and specifications.
• Lead pre-service meetings and coordinate with supervisory, engineering, and supplier personnel to resolve issues.
• Contribute to bid strategies, project planning, and problem-solving.
• Plan and manage projects ranging from inspections to large, complex jobs.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
