Job summary

OBR is seeking a Service Superintendent to oversee cooling tower service, maintenance, and repairs, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery. The role requires collaboration with clients, engineers, and management to exceed expectations.

The position involves extensive travel and leadership of field technicians and crews, with a focus on safety, budgeting, and project coordination across diverse sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of cooling tower field experience.
• OSHA safety training and knowledge of safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe work practices; stop work if unsafe conditions arise.
• Interface with clients and oversee all aspects of service projects.
• Supervise and train field technicians, foremen, leadmen and crews.
• Conduct safety orientations and enforce OSHA/industry standards.
• Manage service materials, equipment rentals, and job supplies.
• Oversee service processes, subcontractor progress, and project schedules.
• Prepare service and time reports; complete job closeout documentation.
• Monitor budgets, profitability, and adherence to scope and specifications.
• Lead pre-service meetings and coordinate with supervisory, engineering, and supplier personnel.
• Contribute to bid strategies, project planning, and problem-solving.
• Plan and manage projects from inspections to large, complex jobs.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Maintain accessibility by phone and email outside normal hours for urgent matters.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
