Sodexo is hiring a Cook I in Boston for weekday morning and afternoon/evening shifts. The role focuses on accurately preparing and presenting hot and cold items, adhering to culinary standards, and maintaining a clean work environment.

You’ll support high-quality dining experiences and collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure safety and efficiency. Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED, 0–2 years of related experience, and the ability to read and follow recipes unsupervised.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 2 years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good working knowledge of food preparation.
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment.
• Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised.

Responsabilités

• Prepare food in accordance with current applicable federal, state and corporate standards, guidelines, and regulations to ensure high-quality food service is provided.
• Follow basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving, and serving soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other foodstuffs for consumption in eating establishments.
• Taste products, read menus, estimate food requirements, check production, and keep records to accurately plan production requirements and requisition supplies and equipment.
• Significant walking or other means of mobility.
• Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time, which may exceed 8 hours.
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 50 pounds.
