Job summary

Asbury Springhill, a part of Asbury Communities, Inc., is hiring a kitchen helper to assist in simple recipes, batch cook items and support the chef in daily food preparation at our Erie, PA location.

The position is full-time, hours Sunday 9:30a-6p and Monday-Thursday 10:30a-7p, at a pay rate of $17.00/hour. Requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of related experience; Asbury offers medical, dental, vision, 401K with match, PTO and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in food preparation and batch cooking.
• Follows production counts and updates Chef as needed.
• Maintains standards of sanitation and infection control.
• Ability to instruct attendants on menu offerings.

Pay & Compensation

• Full Time Position
• Hours: Sunday- 930a-6p Monday, Tuesday, Wed, Thursday- 1030a-7p
• Pay: $17.00/hour

Job Description

• Assists in simple recipes for hot and cold food preparation. Batch cooks items ensuring optimal food quality; i.e., scrambled eggs, french-fries, vegetables, fish, etc.
• Follows “counts” designated on production sheets, as written.
• Informs Chef when a recipe or food production sheet needs to be modified and informs Chef of potential shortages.
• Instructs attendants in regards to menu offerings and/or menu changes.
• Practices standards of food sanitation, infection control, and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalency.
• One (1) year of related experience.
