Job summary

Asbury Communities, Inc. in Mechanicsburg, PA is seeking a full-time kitchen assistant to support the dining team with food preparation, batch cooking, and menu execution. You will follow production sheets, communicate shortages to the Chef, and help train attendants on menu items.

The role offers a daytime/evening shift pattern (11:30am-8:00pm and 7:30-3:00), with every other weekend and holiday required. Pay is $18.00/hour, with benefits including medical, 401K with match, PTO, and paid

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalency, required.
• Six (6) months prior experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists in simple recipes for hot and cold food preparation. Batch cook items ensuring optimal food quality, i.e., scrambled eggs, french-fries, vegetables, fish, etc.
• Follows “counts” designated on production sheets as written.
• Informs Chef when a recipe or food production sheet needs to be modified and informs Chef of potential shortages.
• Instructs attendants in regard to menu offerings and/or menu changes.
• Practices standards of food sanitation, infection control and quality assurance

• Status: Full-time Position
• Hours:11:30am-8:00pm and 7:30-3:00

• Pay Rate: $18.00/hour
