Job summary

Asbury Communities is hiring a full-time cook in our York, Pennsylvania kitchen. The role assists in preparing hot and cold foods, batches items for quality, and follows production sheets. You’ll inform the Chef about shortages or recipe changes and help supervise attendants on menu offerings.

Schedule is 10am–6:30pm with every other weekend and holiday rotation. We offer benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401K with match, PTO and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• 1+ year cooking experience, preferably in the health care setting.

Responsibilities

• Assists in simple recipes for hot and cold food preparation. Batch cooks items ensuring optimal food quality; i.e., scrambled eggs, french-fries, vegetables, fish, etc.
• Follows “counts” designated on production sheets as written.
• Informs Chef when a recipe or food production sheet needs to be modified and informs Chef of potential shortages.
• Instructs attendants in regard to menu offerings and/or menu changes.
• Practices standards of food sanitation, infection control, and quality assurance.
