Job summary

Asbury Springhill is seeking a dedicated kitchen/food service associate to support daily meal preparation for residents. The role involves batch cooking, following production sheets, and assisting with menu changes under the supervision of the Chef.

Pay & Compensation

• Full Time Position, 40 hours weekly
• Hours: Sunday 6:00am-2:30pm, Monday 9:30am-6:00pm, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 10:30am-7:00pm
• Pay: $17.00/hour
• This position may be eligible for a shift differential depending upon schedule.

Job Description

• Assists in simple recipes for hot and cold food preparation. Batch cooks items ensuring optimal food quality; i.e., scrambled eggs, french-fries, vegetables, fish, etc.
• Follows “counts” designated on production sheets, as written.
• Informs Chef when a recipe or food production sheet needs to be modified and informs Chef of potential shortages.
• Instructs attendants in regards to menu offerings and/or menu changes.
• Practices standards of food sanitation, infection control, and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of related experience.
