Job summary

Asbury Communities in the United States is seeking a part-time cook to join our dining team. You will prepare and cook a variety of hot and cold dishes according to recipes and production sheets, supporting batch cooking and ensuring consistent quality.

We look for candidates with at least 1 year of cooking experience; a high school diploma or GED; the ability to read recipes; basic math for measurements; culinary training or ServSafe certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ year cooking experience preferred.
• High School diploma, GED or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, understand and follow recipes and production sheets accurately.
• Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and adjusting recipe quantities.
• Culinary school training, ServSafe certification or other relevant education are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of hot and cold dishes according to recipes and production sheets.
• Assist in batch cooking items to ensure optimal food quality and consistency.
• Maintain proper food handling, safety, and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food preparation and service.
• Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels of ingredients and supplies.
• Assist in menu planning and suggest new recipes or improvements to existing dishes.
