Job summary

Gap Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support daily warehouse operations, perform preventative maintenance, and repair equipment across conveyor systems, balers, and ASRS components.

You will collaborate with maintenance supervisors and technicians to ensure safe, efficient product flow, using CMMS for work orders and reporting abnormalities. You will Troubleshoot electrical sensors and conveyors, inspect cranes and shuttles, and perform general facility upkeep while maintaining safety

Qualifications

• Basic technical knowledge of MHE and automation in a distribution center environment.
• Capable of multitasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
• Ability to perform general maintenance incl. painting, plumbing, signage, bulb replacement, and facility upkeep.

Responsibilities

• Electrical troubleshooting: sensors, conveyors, and motorized components.
• Monitor and troubleshoot ASRS and crane systems to ensure smooth product flow.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections on conveyors, balers, and storage components; create follow-up work orders in CMMS.
• Inspect, remove, rebuild, setup, and install sortation system carriers using SOPs and go-no-go gauges.
• Monitor and service corrugate baler machines with daily inspections and upkeep.
• Use hand and power tools and shop equipment (drill press, grinders, band saw) on various projects.
• Operate PIVs such as scissor lifts and boom lifts; work at heights with proper certification.
• Other mechanical work including belt replacement and conveyor roller maintenance.
• Follow all safety standards and oversee human-machine interface monitoring.
