Job summary

Saks Global is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building, with the opportunity to install, maintain and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment.

The role emphasizes safety, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting MHE including belts, motors, relays, and more, and coordinating with the facility team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls.
• 2+ years of predictive and preventative maintenance experience.
• 2+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment.
• 1+ years of blueprint and electrical schematic reading.
• 1+ years of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles.
• Background or experience in conveyor and forklift operation and repair.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
• Maintain a positive working relationship across all the Operations facility.
• Track and store department inventory.
• Move up to 50lbs with regular bending, lifting and reaching both below the waist and above the head along with pushing and pulling wheeled dollies up to 100 pounds.
