Job summary

Performance Team is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve conveyor systems and material handling equipment in a warehouse environment. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure reliability and minimize downtime, working closely with Operations and other maintenance staff.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with conveyors and industrial equipment, can independently troubleshoot, and are committed to safety and efficient

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in industrial maintenance or related field.
• Experience with conveyor systems and mechanical components (bearings, belts, chains, motors, gearboxes).
• Able to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
• Basic computer skills and ability to document work electronically.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain conveyor systems and material handling equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical components including bearings, belts, chains, motors, and gearboxes.
• Assist in troubleshooting basic electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Observe equipment operation and identify potential failures or performance issues.
• Remove, repair, or replace defective components to restore functionality.
• Test equipment after repairs to verify safe operation.
• Assist with installation and modification of conveyors and related equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance according to schedules and procedures.
• Inspect equipment for wear, damage, lubrication issues, and other concerns.
• Document maintenance findings and report to leadership.
• Support efforts to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Assist with maintenance and repair of warehouse support equipment including dock equipment, fans, air compressors, and facility systems.
• Maintain clean and organized maintenance areas and tools.
• Support emergency repairs and uptime initiatives.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and work order documentation.
• Record labor hours, repairs, and parts used.
• Identify replacement parts and inventory requirements.
• Communicate issues and status to leadership.
• Follow OSHA, LOTO, machine guarding, PPE, and safety requirements.
