Position Overview

Are you an experienced Controls Technician looking to grow with a worldwide leader in HVAC and Building Automation? Trane is seeking a Service Controls Technician in the Baton Rouge, LA area. This unique role combines HVAC and Controls knowledge, responsible for retrofitting new systems, diagnosing, servicing, and repairing building automation systems in diverse commercial settings.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with HVAC controls and troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing commercial HVAC units
• Experience with programming, commissioning, and startup of Siemens, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, or Tridium/Niagara based controls systems is highly desirable
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with no major traffic violations
• EPA Certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Retrofitting, diagnosing, servicing, and repairing building automation systems
• Interpreting control drawings, plans, and specifications
• Engaging in retrofit and repair of environmental systems
• Using hand tools and control systems knowledge in diverse environments

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Ability to operate a vehicle safely
• Wearing safety gear and working in various physical positions
• Lifting up to 40 lbs. regularly, more occasionally
• Accessing rooftops and confined spaces
• Exposure to variable weather and environmental conditions

Additional Details

• Position is remote within the Baton Rouge, LA area
• Base pay range: $22-$38+ hourly, based on experience and location
