Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a field-based Building Automation Installer to install temperature control systems at customer sites. You will interpret control drawings, prepare on-site, coordinate with other trades, and maintain inventory while documenting all activities.

The role requires 2–5 years in HVAC/Controls, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver's license; DDC controls experience is preferred. Expect travel to customer locations and a safety-focused work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; 2–5 years HVAC/Controls experience.
• Technical schooling or formal training is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months with a clean record.
• Previous experience with DDC controls is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install building automation systems using hand tools and interpreting drawings.
• Prepare for on-site installation by examining layouts and coordinating with trades.
• Maintain stock of inventory and document all activities.
• Serve as the direct customer contact and service equipment on site.
• Ensure safety standards and maintain tools and vehicles in good condition.
