Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking an on-site Building Automation Installer to install direct digital control systems at customer locations. You will evaluate building layouts, prep materials, coordinate with trades, and maintain documentation of daily activities.

Requires 2-5 years HVAC/Controls experience, high school diploma, and valid driver's license. Proficiency with MS Office and handheld devices, plus knowledge of low voltage electronics and DDC controls. Travel and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Typically 2–5 years in HVAC/Controls.
• Proficient with MS Office and handheld devices.
• Knowledge of low-voltage electricity, electronics, and DDC controls.
• Valid driver’s license; ABC electrical apprenticeship is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install building automation systems using hand tools and plan drawings.
• Prepare on-site installations by reviewing layouts and coordinating with trades.
• Maintain inventory, complete paperwork and job reports promptly.
• Serve as the customer contact and ensure satisfaction by diagnosing issues.
• Inspect and maintain vehicles and tools; enforce safety standards.
