Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a skilled technician to install building automation systems and associated control hardware on customer sites. You will read wiring diagrams, prepare job sites, and coordinate with other trades to ensure smooth on-site work.

The role requires 2–5 years in HVAC/Controls, a valid driver’s license, and knowledge of DDC controls. Travel and overtime may be required, with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities at Trane Technologies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 2–5 years HVAC/Controls experience.
• Technical training preferred and ABC apprenticeship desired.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
• Knowledge of low voltage electronics and direct digital controls.

Responsibilities

• Install building automation systems on client sites.
• Read and interpret control drawings, plans and specs.
• Prepare for on-site work by coordinating with trades and gathering materials.
• Maintain inventory and document all related activities.
• Complete daily paperwork and reports in a timely manner.
• Serve as direct customer contact and ensure satisfaction.
• Keep Trane products and DDC knowledge current.
• Inspect and maintain service vehicles and tools.
• Enforce safety standards and asset security.
