Job summary

Gallo Glass is seeking a Controls Specialist to design, program, deploy, and improve the controls systems that support safe, reliable operations. You will lead electrical design, PLC programming, HMI design, and startup activities across projects while aligning with Gallo standards for OT security and obsolescence management.

You will collaborate with internal customers and vendors to translate requirements into actionable plans, managing budgets and timelines while applying Lean Six Sigma

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Engineering Degree plus 4 years experience in controls programming, plc controls and logic circuits, or High School Diploma plus 8 years experience in controls programming.
• Must demonstrate active hands-on programming experience in the past 10 years.
• Proficient in MS Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint at an intermediate level.

Responsibilities

• Design, program, deploy and improve controls systems for safe, reliable operations.
• Support full project lifecycle: electrical design, panel construction, machine installation, PLC programming, HMI design and startup through validation.
• Develop electrical schematics, define scope and budgets, test emerging tech and provide cost/technical recommendations.
• Collaborate with internal customers, vendors and teams to clarify requirements and communicate status.
