Job summary

Interlake Mecalux, Inc. is seeking a Controls Engineer to design and test warehouse control software using Galileo and our internal tools. You will configure networks (Profibus/Profinet) and validate controllers, inverters, and safety systems on site.

The role involves on-site commissioning, training customers, coordinating with project managers, and traveling up to 80%. A Bachelors in Engineering and at least one year in industrial automation are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
• Minimum of 1 year in industrial automation.
• Experience with PLC/HMI/SCADA programming preferred.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical wiring diagrams.
• Willingness to travel up to 80%.

Responsibilities

• Develop control programs using Designer AWS and Galileo for warehouse solutions.
• Configure Profibus/Profinet networks with Sycon.net and Galileo for testing.
• Perform on-site startup and network tests; validate wiring and device addresses.
• Load control programs to VFD drives, operator panels, scanners and PCs.
• Verify safety devices using appropriate software and inspections.
• Coordinate daily tasks for electromechanics; report deviations to PM/ Site Manager.
• Assist PMs in determining human resources and work schedules.
• Commission on-site, debug and troubleshoot the solution.
• Collaborate with PM and clients to ensure project needs are met.
• Provide customer trainings on Galileo software and HMI interfaces.
