Job summary
E. & J. Gallo Winery in Modesto, CA is seeking a Controls Technician to maintain, install, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate plant instrumentation and control systems.
You will lead complex control projects, including PLC and HMI adjustments, equipment upgrades, and communication network troubleshooting, to improve reliability and efficiency. You will collaborate across Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and vendors, applying Lean Six Sigma to deliver cost-effective improvements while
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree plus 3 years of PLC controls experience, or 2 years technical degree plus 5 years, or HS diploma plus 7 years in PLC controls.
- Must be able to climb stairs and ladders and work at heights.
- Knowledgeable of Electrical Safety procedures.
- Willing to work rotating shifts and weekends/overtime as required.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, install, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate plant instrumentation and control systems.
- Serve as Controls Lead for complex issues and support plant engineering projects.
- Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, vendors, and cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.
