Job summary
GALLO South Carolina is seeking a skilled Instrumentation and Controls Technician to keep our plant running safely, efficiently, and reliably. You will work with PLCs, HMIs, instruments, and control systems to install, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment that supports daily operations.
This role welcomes hands-on problem solving and collaboration across teams. You will diagnose issues with PLCs and electrical systems, review data with PC-based tools, and contribute to reliability improvements,
Qualifications
- 2-year technical degree + 1 year PLC experience OR high school + 3 years PLC experience.
- Willingness to climb stairs and work at heights; safety procedures knowledge.
- Able to work rotating shifts and overtime as needed.
- Experience with PLC controls, logic circuits, pneumatic and electrical equipment.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot plant instrumentation and control systems.
- Diagnose issues, replace failed electrical components, and review PLC/HMI data.
- Support reliability improvements, capital projects, and new product commercialization.
- Collaborate across operations and maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
