Job summary
Food Management Search, Inc. seeks a seasoned Controls Engineer for a major manufacturing facility in the southwest Atlanta metro area.
The role focuses on troubleshooting, programming, and integrating equipment and automation systems to improve safety, efficiency, and uptime in an Allen Bradley PLC environment. Responsibilities include electrical troubleshooting on 24V to 480V systems, PLC/HMI programming, FAT documentation, and leading projects with internal teams and external contractors.
Qualifications
- Four years of technical education or degree, or two years with related work experience.
- Prefer at least 5 years as a controls engineer, but will consider 2+ years.
- Experience in an Allen-Bradley PLC environment and manufacturing settings.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, program, and integrate equipment and automation systems across departments.
- Electrical troubleshooting on 24V control circuits to 480V equipment circuits.
- Lead or support manufacturing projects from initiation to completion with internal teams and external contractors.
- Prepare and maintain technical reports, FATs, and documentation; ensure safety compliance.
