Job summary

Food Management Search, Inc. client in the southwest Atlanta metro area seeks a seasoned Controls Engineer to design, troubleshoot, program, and integrate manufacturing equipment and automation systems.

You will collaborate across maintenance, engineering, and production to improve safety, efficiency, and uptime in a high-volume environment. The role operates in an Allen-Bradley PLC environment with stamping, plating, and assembly processes.

Qualifications

• Four years of technical education or degree, or two years of technical education with related work experience.
• Prefer at least 5 years as a controls engineer, but will consider at least 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Maintain effective relationships across Maintenance, Toolroom, Manufacturing Engineering, Technology Team, and Production.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting on production equipment from 24V to 480V circuits and diagnose faults.
• Support projects with controls engineering expertise: specification, wiring, PLC/HMI programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Lead projects by coordinating activities, timelines, and requirements with internal/external stakeholders.
• Prepare/maintain technical reports and FAT activities; document changes and energy/process optimization.
• Ensure safety compliance with OHSA and internal EHS standards.
