Job summary
Modern Machining Solutions Inc is seeking a Controls Engineer to join our southwest suburban Atlanta facility. The role involves troubleshooting, programming, and integrating equipment and automation systems in an Allen Bradley PLC environment.
You will lead projects across departments to improve safety, efficiency, and uptime within stamping, die casting, plating, finishing, and assembly processes. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical and programming skills, experience with PLC/HMI
Qualifications
- Four years of technical education or degree, or two years of technical education with related work experience.
- Prefer at least 5 years as a controls engineer, but will consider 2 years as a controls engineer.
- Experience in an Allen Bradley PLC environment.
- Strong ability to design, troubleshoot, and improve electrical/control systems.
Responsibilities
- Maintain relationships with Maintenance, Toolroom, Manufacturing Engineering, and Production.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting on equipment from 24V to 480V circuits.
- Provide controls engineering expertise for projects: design, wiring, PLC/HMI programming, commissioning.
- Lead projects and coordinate activities with internal teams and external contractors.
- Prepare technical reports, FATs, and documentation; ensure safety regulatory compliance.
