Job summary
Henderson Group in Wyoming, MI is seeking a Controls Engineer II to own the full engineering lifecycle of custom automation and process control systems. You will work from concept through validation, programming, integration, debugging, and on-site commissioning, applying electrical design and software architecture skills while upholding safety standards.
This role requires 5+ years in industrial automation, familiarity with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, AutoCAD Electrical, and travel up to 15% for
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years designing, building, and programming custom automation systems.
- Experience with NEC, NFPA 79, and RIA TR 15.06 electrical codes.
- Proficiency with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley platforms; AutoCAD Electrical.
- Willingness to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.
Responsibilities
- Lead full engineering lifecycle from inception to commissioning.
- Design and detail electrical panels and I/O maps in AutoCAD Electrical.
- Integrate robotics, vision systems, and motion control into control logic.
- Develop software libraries, review technical specs, and ensure safety compliance.
- Provide on-site startup, commissioning, and client training.
