Job summary

Food Management Search, Inc. is seeking a Controls Engineer II in Wyoming, MI. The role covers full lifecycle engineering of custom automation and process control systems, including design, programming, debugging, and on-site commissioning.

You’ll work with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley platforms, AutoCAD Electrical, and integrate robotics and vision systems while ensuring safety compliance. Travel up to 15% domestically and internationally may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years designing, building, and programming custom automation systems.
• Experience with NEC, NFPA 79, and RIA TR 15.06 electrical codes.
• Proficiency with Rockwell Automation / Allen-Bradley platforms.
• Competent in AutoCAD Electrical.

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle engineering for automation and process control systems.
• Program, debug, validate, and commission on-site at customer facilities.
• Develop electrical panel schematics and I/O maps using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams on build floor and project delivery.
• Provide on-site startup, commissioning support, and customer training.
