Accounting Search is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role with potential for permanent placement. The position is a float assignment covering Montgomery County, MD, with 1st shift options (7am–4pm or 8am–5pm; EOS 8am–12pm) and a projected duration of 3 months.

Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifuging, and maintaining accurate patient data while adhering to OSHA/DEP regulations. A valid state phlebotomy cert and related experience are required.

Formación

• Valid Phlebotomy certification required in the state where employed.
• Minimum of 6 months’ experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of phlebotomy experience.

Responsabilidades

• Perform blood draws and label specimens accurately.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Explain venipuncture procedures clearly to patients.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper labeling.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and participate in trainings.
• Verify test requisitions and document results.
