Job summary

Vogrinc Search Group is seeking a contract Phlebotomist to support multiple Montgomery County, MD sites. The position is a float role with a 1st shift schedule, Monday through Friday, with potential for permanent placement.

The phlebotomist will perform blood draws, label and process specimens, and maintain accurate patient information while ensuring OSHA compliance and safe handling of specimens. Experience in fast-paced clinical labs is preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture procedures clearly and courteously to patients.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper storage conditions.
