Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. seeks a Container Welder/Fabricator to repair, weld and paint containers and roll-off boxes. You will perform MIG and ARC welding, fabricate components, cut with plasma, and install lids and wheels. Strict safety and paperwork compliance are required.

Minimum one year welding experience or completion of a welding program is needed. Excellent communication and ability to work with minimal supervision are valued in this role.

Qualifications

• Certified welder(s) required.
• Advanced knowledge of MIG & STICK welders, plasma cutter, and airless paint sprayers.
• Familiar with basic use of hand tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow directions with minimal supervisory involvement.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and maintenance on front, rear and roll-off containers.
• Weld steel and aluminum using MIG and ARC welding equipment.
• Fabricate steel components using brake and shear.
• Cut steel using plasma cutter or torch.
• Fabricate steel components for hoppers, containers and compactors.
• Install lids and wheels on containers.
• Paint repaired containers.
• Follow safety policies and procedures.
• Complete required paperwork.
• Install company and safety decals on containers and roll-off boxes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Refer complex repairs to Supervisor.
