Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. seeks a Container Welder/Fabricator to repair, weld, fabricate, and maintain front, rear and roll-off containers.

You will perform MIG and ARC welding, fabricate steel components with brakes, and cut steel with a plasma cutter or torch. The role requires a certified welder with strong communication and the ability to follow directions with minimal supervision, plus familiarity with paint sprayers and tool use.

Qualifications

• Certified welder with MIG/ARC experience.
• Knowledge of plasma cutter and airless paint sprayers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow directions with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and maintenance on front, rear and roll-off containers.
• Weld steel and aluminum components using MIG and ARC welding equipment.
• Fabricate steel components using a brake and shear.
• Cut steel using a plasma cutter or torch.
• Fabricate steel components for hoppers, containers and compactors.
• Install lids and wheels on containers.
• Paint repaired containers.
• Follow safety policies and procedures.
• Complete required paperwork.
• Install company and safety decals on containers and roll-off boxes.
• Refer more complex repairs to supervisor.
