Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Container Welder/Fabricator in the United States to repair, weld, fabricate and paint containers and roll‑off boxes. The role requires MIG/ARC welding and metal fabrication skills, with hands‑on use of plasma cutting and painting equipment.

Responsibilities include maintaining containers, following safety policies, completing paperwork, and applying decals. A minimum of 1 year welding experience or completion of a welding program is required, with strong

Qualifications

• Certified welder with MIG and ARC welding expertise.
• Advanced knowledge of plasma cutter and airless paint sprayers.
• Familiar with basic use of hand tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow directions with minimal supervisory involvement.
• Minimum of 1 year welding experience OR completion of a welding program.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and maintains front, rear and roll‑off containers.
• Weld steel and aluminum components using MIG and ARC welding equipment.
• Fabricates steel components using a brake and shear.
• Cuts steel with a plasma cutter or torch.
• Installs lids and wheels on containers; paints repaired containers.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures and completes required paperwork.
• Install company and safety decals on containers and roll‑off boxes.
