Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a Container Welder/Fabricator to repair, paint and maintain containers and roll-off boxes. You will weld steel and aluminum, fabricate components with brakes and shears, and cut with plasma or torch.

You’ll also install lids, wheels and decals while following safety policies and completing paperwork. The role emphasizes welding proficiency, tool familiarity, and effective communication in a team environment with a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Certified welder required.
• Advanced knowledge of MIG and ARC welding, plasma cutter, and airless paint sprayers.
• Familiar with basic use of hand tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow directions with minimal supervisory involvement.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and maintains front, rear and roll-off containers.
• Welds steel and aluminum components using MIG and ARC welding equipment.
• Fabricates steel components using a brake and shear.
• Cuts steel using a plasma cutter or torch.
• Fabricates steel components for hoppers, containers and compactors.
• Installs lids and wheels on containers.
• Paints repaired containers.
• Follows safety policies and procedures and completes required paperwork.
• Installs company and safety decals on containers and roll-off boxes.
• Performs other duties as assigned; refers complex repairs to Supervisor.
