Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a Container Welder/Fabricator to repair, fabricate and maintain front, rear and roll-off containers. The role requires MIG/ARC welding, plasma cutting and painting duties in a safety-focused environment.

The successful candidate will follow established processes, perform basic fabrications using brakes, shears, and cutting tools, and complete documentation as required. This is a hands-on position with opportunities to grow within a large environmental services

Qualifications

• Certified welder.
• Advanced knowledge of MIG & ARC welding, plasma cutter, and airless paint sprayers.
• Familiar with basic use of hand tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow directions with minimal supervisory involvement.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and maintenance on front, rear and roll-off containers.
• Weld steel and aluminum components using MIG and ARC welding equipment.
• Fabricate steel components using a brake and shear.
• Cut steel using a plasma cutter or torch.
• Fabricate steel components for hoppers, containers and compactors.
• Install lids and wheels on containers.
• Paint repaired containers.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Complete required paperwork.
• Install company and safety decals on containers and roll-off boxes.
• Refer complex repairs to Supervisor.
