Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a Container Welder/Fabricator to repair, paint, and maintain containers and roll-off boxes. The role involves welding steel and aluminum components with MIG/ARC processes, fabricating parts with brakes and shears, and cutting steel with plasma equipment.

Safety policies must be followed, and documentation completed. You will also install lids, wheels, and decals, paint repairs, and support other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Certified welder.
• Advanced knowledge of MIG & arc welders, plasma cutter, and airless paint sprayers.
• Familiar with basic use of hand tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow directions with minimal supervisory involvement.

Responsibilities

• Weld steel and aluminum components using MIG and ARC welding.
• Fabricate steel components using a brake and shear.
• Cut steel using plasma cutter or torch.
• Install lids and wheels on containers; paint repaired containers.
• Follow safety policies and complete required paperwork.
