Job summary

Everstory Partners in Richmond, KY, seeks a Sales Counselor to serve individuals and families in choosing funeral and cemetery services. You will build a pipeline through leads, referrals, and outreach, while guiding decisions with care and clarity.

The role emphasizes consultative B2C sales, relationship-building, and ongoing follow-up, with uncapped commissions or a guaranteed minimum hourly rate. Training is provided and the environment supports community engagement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in sales or relationship-based roles preferred.
• Experience using CRM software such as HubSpot or Salesforce preferred.
• Willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle; mileage reimbursement provided.

Responsibilities

• Meet with individuals and families to understand needs and recommend funeral and cemetery products and services.
• Sell pre-need and at-need funeral services, cemetery property, memorialization products, and related merchandise.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective customers through lead generation, referrals, networking and community outreach.
• Respond to inbound leads, customer inquiries, and walk-in opportunities.
• Develop long-term relationships with customers and families.
• Explain products, pricing, and options clearly and compassionately.
• Guide customers through purchasing decisions and complete sales contracts and documentation.
• Use HubSpot to manage leads and sales activities.
• Attend funeral and memorial services as appropriate to support families.
• Partner with funeral home and cemetery teams to provide positive customer experience.
