Job summary

Worley Group, Inc. in Baytown, TX seeks a Timekeeper to support accurate workforce timekeeping, payroll data integrity, and labor reporting. You will link craft personnel with supervision, project controls, payroll, and leadership to keep labor records accurate and compliant.

In this role you will maintain time records, assist payroll processes, and generate labor metrics while ensuring confidentiality of payroll information and contributing to project efficiency and cost control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Typically 2+ years of experience in timekeeping, payroll administration, workforce administration, accounting support, project controls support, or related functions.
• Experience in construction, industrial, manufacturing, energy, maintenance, turnaround, or project-based environments preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with large volumes of data.
• Experience with timekeeping, payroll, or workforce management systems.
• Proficient with Excel, Outlook, Word, and other business applications.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
• Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Record, review, and process employee time and attendance accurately and timely.
• Verify daily craft labor hours, overtime, shift differentials, classifications, and payroll details.
• Support weekly payroll activities ensuring records are complete and compliant.
• Coordinate with supervisors, forepersons, payroll personnel, and project teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain employee labor records, rosters, attendance logs, and supporting docs.
• Prepare routine reports on labor utilization, hours, attendance, and staffing metrics.
• Review data for accuracy and identify errors or issues before processing.
• Support project controls, cost reporting, and workforce planning with accurate labor data.
• Maintain confidentiality of payroll records.
• Assist employees and supervisors with timekeeping questions and system usage.
• Support onboarding and workforce administration activities.
• Follow procedures while ensuring compliance with standards.
• Assist with audits and payroll reconciliations.
