Job summary

Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC is seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent to support supervision of construction projects. The role involves coordinating with owners, designers, and subcontractors to ensure efficient, safe, and on-schedule project delivery.

You will assist in planning, reporting, and payroll-related tasks while enforcing safety standards and company policies. Travel to job sites as needed and oversee daily site activities with a focus on quality and timely completion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant construction experience.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations including OSHA.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural/engineering drawings, financial reports, and legal documents.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present to executives and owners.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Professional attitude and appearance.
• People management skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel and/or relocate as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist Superintendent or act in their absence, overseeing one or more duties.
• Advocate safety as a top priority and ensure compliance with safety plans and regulations.
• Coordinate with Estimating, Division Management, and Project Management to supervise projects and interface with owners, designers, and subcontractors.
• Develop and implement production plans aligned with budget goals.
• Assist in preparing project status reports and daily/regular progress and compliance reports.
• Review plans and shop drawings per contract documents and coordinate drawings.
• Procure tools and materials to meet the project schedule.
• Determine staffing levels and scheduling considering methods, tools, and equipment availability.
• Assist with payroll submission and HR/Payroll policy compliance.
• Resolve workforce concerns with supervisory and HR support as needed.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, subcontractors, inspectors, and suppliers to improve methods and resolve issues.
• Monitor schedules and ensure adherence by managing staffing and procurement.
• Supervise subcontractors to ensure compliance with terms and schedules.
• Enforce company policies and coordinate regulatory inspections.
