Job summary

Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC is seeking an experienced traveling Assistant Superintendent based in Nashville, TN. The role will oversee large multi-million dollar Industrial and Aerospace projects, traveling to sites in GA, AL, NC, SC, or FL as needed.

The position requires a minimum of five years in construction, strong leadership, safety enforcement, and the ability to coordinate with owners, designers and subcontractors. Valid driver’s license and OSHA knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant construction experience.
• OSHA knowledge and compliance.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, financial reports, and legal documents.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Professional attitude and appearance.
• People management skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist Superintendent with duties on large-scale construction projects.
• Support coordination with owners, designers, and subcontractors.
• Develop and implement production plans with budget goals in mind.
• Prepare project status, payroll, and various compliance reports.
• Oversee scheduling, staffing, and procurement of tools and materials.
• Recruit, hire, and direct on-site field personnel according to HR processes.
• Coordinate safety and enforce company safety plans on site.
• Work with engineers, architects, subcontractors, and inspectors to resolve construction issues.
