Job summary

Brasfield & Gorrie, L.L.C. is seeking an experienced construction supervisor to assist the Superintendent and manage on-site activities.

You will coordinate with Estimating, Division Management and Project Management to supervise projects, enforce safety plans, and ensure scheduling, staffing, and material procurement align with the contract documents. Responsibilities include preparing status and logs, reviewing plans, and directing field personnel in compliance with HR policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with at least 5 years of construction experience.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal rules including OSHA.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural/engineering drawings and reports.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to present to management and owners.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Professional attitude and appearance; people management skills.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist Superintendent with duties assigned by Superintendent or General Superintendent.
• Advocate safety as priority and enforce compliance with safety plans.
• Coordinate with Estimating, Division Management and Project Management to supervise projects.
• Develop and implement production plans with budget goals.
• Assist Project Manager in preparing project status reports.
• Prepare daily, progress, compliance reports and logs.
• Oversee review of plans and drawings and coordination of shop drawings.
• Procure tools and materials to ensure availability per schedule.
• Determine staffing levels and timing for each phase of the project.
• Recruit, hire, and direct on-site field personnel per HR policies.
• Submit payroll documentation to Payroll; ensure HR policies.
• Resolve complaints with HR/Legal assistance.
• Work with engineers, architects, subcontractors, inspectors, suppliers to improve methods.
• Ensure schedules adhered by staffing and procurement.
• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors to monitor compliance with terms.
• Enforce company policies and procedures.
• Coordinate and oversee regulatory inspections.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Minimum 5 years of relevant construction experience

OSHA knowledge

Read architectural/engineering drawings

Verbal/written communication

Basic math skills
