Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC is seeking an experienced construction professional to support the Superintendent on ongoing projects in the Charleston area. The role emphasizes safety, coordination with owners, designers, and subcontractors, and ensuring smooth project execution on schedule.

The candidate should bring at least 5 years of relevant construction experience, strong reading of plans, and excellent communication skills to present information to management and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, minimum 5 years of construction experience.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations (OSHA).
• Ability to read interpret architectural/engineering drawings and legal documents.
• Strong verbal and written communication to management and clients.
• Basic math skills and basic computer skills.
• Professional appearance and attitude; people management skills.
• Valid driver’s license; willingness to travel or relocate.

Responsibilities

• Assists Superintendent or performs duties for a project without a Superintendent.
• Advocates safety as a priority and enforces safety policies.
• Coordinates with Estimating, Division Mgmt and Project Mgmt to supervise projects.
• Develops production plans aligned with budget goals.
• Prepares project status, payroll, and compliance reports.
• Reviews plans/drawings against contract documents and coordinates shop drawings.
• Procures tools and materials per schedule; determines staffing levels.
• Oversees subcontractors and ensures adherence to terms.
• Coordinates regulatory inspections and maintains schedules.
