Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Philadelphia, PA is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety professional to train project teams on safe work practices, enforce EH&S programs, and help minimize hazards on construction sites.

You will lead pre-construction safety planning, review subcontractor safety programs, conduct audits and safety meetings, and collaborate with project teams to achieve zero citations while maintaining compliance with OSHA and owner requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or related field with at least 2 years of construction safety experience.
• CHST certification required or within two years of appointment.
• OSHA 30-hour training completed; maintain First Aid/CPR/BBP and AED certifications.
• Familiar with safety regulations and general construction operations.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Educate project teams on EH&S programs and enforce safe work practices.
• Promote safe working conditions in line with regulations and owner requirements.
• Build relationships with project teams and subcontractor safety reps.
• Contribute to the development of the overall safety program.
• Enforce safety policies and implement corrective actions.
• Lead pre-construction planning and review subcontractor safety programs.
• Coordinate preconstruction meetings and gather PTAs/JHAs.
• Create safety reports, analyze metrics, and suggest improvements.
• Conduct safety meetings and maintain records; oversee drug screening program.
