Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety professional to train project teams on EH&S programs and enforce safety practices across Philadelphia-area construction sites.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, CHST certification (or within two years), OSHA 30-hour completion, and current First Aid/CPR/BBP/AED certifications. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or related field, with 2+ years of construction safety experience.
• CHST certification required or within two years of appointment.
• OSHA 30-hour training completed; First Aid/CPR/BBP and AED certifications current.
• Familiar with safety/environmental principles and regulations.
• Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills; ability to train and enforce safety.

Responsibilities

• Educate project team and subcontractors on EH&S programs and procedures.
• Promote safe work practices in line with regulations and owner requirements.
• Develop and enforce the project safety program and corrective actions.
• Review subcontractor safety programs for compliance and risk mitigation.
• Coordinate preconstruction meetings to review safety plans and JHAs.
• Maintain safety reports and conduct audits to drive zero incidents.
