Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Indianapolis is seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety professional to provide training, enforce EH&S programs, and identify hazards on the project. You will work with the project team and subcontractors to develop safety plans, review subcontractor programs, conduct Pre-Task Plans and Job Hazard Analyses, and lead safety meetings; travel may be limited.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Safety/Engineering, CHST, OSHA 30, First

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or related field.
• CHST certification required or within two years of appointment.
• OSHA 30-hour training completed and First Aid/CPR/BBP/AED certifications current.
• Familiar with safety/environmental principles and regulations.
• Ability to identify safety exposures and propose corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Educate project teams on EH&S programs and safety practices; ensure adoption and adherence.
• Promote safe work practices in line with regulations and owner requirements.
• Build relationships with project teams and subcontractor safety reps.
• Contribute to development of the overall safety program.
• Review subcontractor safety programs for compliance with policies and regulations.
• Lead pre-construction planning meetings and review JHAs.
