Job summary

CEC is seeking a Safety Manager to lead the division's safety coordinators and oversee audits, incident investigations, and daily project safety operations. This safety-sensitive role requires coordinating with project leadership and ensuring adherence to safety policies.

The position involves field oversight, incident documentation, and collaboration with owners and safety professionals to maintain a safe work environment across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or graduate degree in Occupational Safety or Health preferred.
• Certified Safety Professional credentials (CSP, ASP, CHST, STS, CSHO-C).
• OSHA 500 & 501 training and competent person training.

Responsibilities

• Manage field safety staff and audits, investigations, and data collection.
• Review daily Velocity reports and ensure completeness.
• Develop corrective actions with site supervision for deficiencies.
• Maintain knowledge of CEC policies and procedures.
• Provide guidance to project leadership and maintain relations with owners and safety community.
• Investigate accidents and incidents; communicate findings to Safety Director.
• Keep safety records and prepare required reports for compliance.
• Conduct site visits, document findings, and plan corrective actions.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and assist pre-construction safety activities.
• Perform other duties to support department efficiency.
