Job summary

CEC is seeking a Safety Coordinator to implement safety programs on construction sites and foster a strong safety culture. You will coach crews, conduct field walks, and oversee audits to address issues and drive corrective actions.

This safety-sensitive role requires OSHA training, the ability to mentor others, and communication skills to influence safe behaviors across project sites.

Qualifications

• Degree or extensive training in environmental health and safety.
• 1 - 3 years in construction safety experience (electrical, mechanical safety preferred).
• OSHA 30 Construction required; OSHA 510/511 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist and coach Foremen in daily ORM boards and Job Hazard Analyses; photo-document completion.
• Work day and/or night shifts, overtime, and weekends per project schedule.
• Submit Site Safety Audit reports daily with hazards, deficiencies, corrective actions and photos.
• Interact with field personnel and site supervision to address safety observations.
• Assist with site safety orientations for new employees.
• Assist supervision in incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Audit power tools and equipment for proper maintenance and safety readiness.
• Ensure subcontractor compliance with safety rules and requirements.
• Perform related duties to support efficient safety processes.
