Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety professional to lead EH&S on a single Austin construction project. You will enforce safety programs, guide project teams, and ensure adherence to policies and regulations as part of the project team.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Safety & Health, CHST certification, OSHA 30-hour training, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or related field.
• CHST certification required or within 2 years of appointment.
• OSHA 30-hour training and current First Aid/CPR/BBP/AED certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct, and enforce EH&S on a single construction project per HQ policy.
• Manage time and resource allocation and provide safety leadership to the project.
• Assess safety practices and exposures; develop action plans to mitigate risks.
• Communicate requirements for improving performance to project leadership and teams.
• Develop training for site-specific EH&S programs and safe work practices.
• Promote safe work practices in line with regulations and owner requirements.
• Review subcontractor safety programs for compliance and performance.
