Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety leader to partner with EH&S and project teams on a single construction project. You will enforce site compliance, lead training of safe work practices, and guide teams on environmental and hazardous materials management.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in safety/engineering and CHST/OSHA credentials, with travel as needed. Turner values safety leadership and collaboration on complex projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety/engineering or related field and 4+ years construction safety experience.
• CHST certification required or within 2 years of appointment.
• OSHA 30-hour training and current First Aid/CPR/BBP/AED certifications.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations and enforcement.
• Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead EH&S on a single construction project and enforce safety staffing.
• Develop action plans to mitigate safety risks.
• Train project teams on EH&S programs and safe work practices.
• Review subcontractor safety programs for compliance with policies and regulations.
• Conduct safety audits and document findings for immediate action.
