Job summary

Hensel Phelps seeks a Safety Engineer to support the safety manager and project team on a construction project. The role involves applying safety policies, making hazard-based recommendations, and helping implement procedures in field and office settings.

It is a safety sensitive position. The candidate should communicate effectively with stakeholders, understand EM 385-1-1 where applicable, and assist in planning and monitoring safety activities.

Qualifications

• A 4-year degree is preferred.
• Occupational Safety and Health degree suggested.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with stakeholders including staff, craft and trade partners.
• Assist in maintenance of the accident prevention plan and safety management tools.
• Participate in quality control and safety process reviews.
• Support OSHA inspections and incident investigations.
• Monitor safety performance of Hensel Phelps and trade partners.
• Attend safety courses and trainings.
