Job summary

Hensel Phelps in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Safety Engineer to support the safety manager and project teams on a construction project. You will apply safety policies, guide site teams, and help ensure compliance with EM 385-1-1 and applicable regulations.

The role involves planning, monitoring activities, conducting safety audits, assisting with OSHA inspections, incidents investigations, and promoting a culture of safety, quality, and accountability across trades.

Qualifications

• A 4-year degree is preferred.
• Occupational Safety and Health degree suggested.
• Valid Driver’s License, required.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and safety software.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with stakeholders including Hensel Phelps staff, craft and trade partners.
• Know the company safety and health program and applicable regulatory standards (EM 385-1-1).
• Assist in accident prevention plan and safety management tools.
• Participate in the six-step quality control/safety process and inspections.
• Assist OSHA inspections and incident investigations.
