Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking a Safety Engineer to support the safety manager and project teams on construction projects. The role involves applying safety policies, implementing procedures, and addressing field and office safety matters.

This is a safety‑sensitive position with collaboration across disciplines. The ideal candidate will contribute to incident prevention, participate in planning activities, and help maintain safety performance while aligning with EM 385-1-1 and owner requirements.

Qualifications

• Occupational Safety and Health degree suggested.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Excel-based templates, Prolog, Primavera and AutoDesk Suite proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with stakeholders including Hensel Phelps staff, craft and trade partners.
• Know the safety and health program, owner requirements and applicable regulatory standards including EM 385-1-1.
• Assist the project superintendent with accident prevention plan and safety management tools.
