Job summary

Hensel Phelps in Hawaii is seeking a Safety Engineer to support the safety manager and project team on a construction project. The role involves recommending safety measures, implementing safety policies, and handling a wide range of safety matters both in the field and office.

The position requires a 4-year degree (preferred) with an emphasis in Occupational Safety and Health, strong communication, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• A 4-year degree is preferred.
• Occupational Safety and Health degree suggested.
• Valid Driver's License, required.
• Strong communication skills.
• Microsoft Office, Excel templates, Prolog, Primavera and AutoDesk Suite.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with Hensel Phelps staff and partners.
• Support safety policies and procedures on site and in office.
• Assist in accident prevention plan and safety management tools.
• Participate in safety audits and inspections.
• Assist OSHA inspections and incident investigations.
