Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Engineer (Construction Safety) to lead EHS on our Cape Canaveral project and related sites. You will develop and enforce safety programs, conduct hazard assessments, train staff, and ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH, EPA, and DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; construction safety expertise preferred.
• 1+ year experience in environmental, health and safety on construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day EHS site management for fast-paced construction projects.
• Audit and enforce contractor EHS programs for SpaceX employees and contractors.
• Develop hazard assessments and PPE requirements; implement safety policies.
• Monitor employee exposure to hazards; recommend corrective actions.
• Educate and train construction personnel on safety procedures.
• Investigate incidents and prepare root-cause reports.
• Ensure compliance with EPA, RCRA, DOT and related regulations.
• Allocate resources to safety-related items across sites.
